Adom A. Knadjian established B&S (Canada) Inc. for a London, UK, based group in the diamond trade in 1979.
As a second-generation member of the watch and jewellery industry, Adom's passion for fine diamond jewellery was contagious. Since the early eighties he meticulously built, with his family and team, a strong reputation in the Canadian jewellery business, which today is appreciated by many retailers and their clients nationwide.
With over forty years of personal experience in the industry
At the cusp of the Millennium, Adom's family-owned business developed strong distribution networks for its esteemed Max Strauss Signature Collection®, a fine quality diamond and gemstone jewellery line.
As a dedicated and stalwart supporter of the 106-year-old Canadian Jewellers Association, Adom Knadjian was honoured and privileged to receive the 2016 'Chairman's Award' as well as the 2023 'Erol Paylan Lifetime Achievement Award'.
Upon Adom's retirement, the Max Strauss brand was acquired by Jack (Hagop) and Raffi Libarian in February 2024. They have endeavoured to secure the deep-rooted DNA of the brand from the quality of its elegant, timeless and iconic pieces as well as its creative branding to the high level of service it provides to jewellery retailers, who in turn offer Max Strauss to discerning clients.

Hagop "Jack" Libarian is a second-generation jeweller who co-founded H & R Design Jewellery Ltd with his brother Raffi in 1994, turning their shared passion for craftsmanship into a thriving family business. In 2007, they launched the LIBAR® brand, born from Hagop's creativity and flair for innovative, elegant jewellery design.
In 2024, Hagop and Raffi jointly acquired the prestigious Max Strauss brand, which includes the acclaimed collections Max Strauss Designer Series®, Max Strauss Signature Collection®, Caprice®, Atelier Privé®, and Bouquet® by Max Strauss. Hagop brings a distinctive artistic vision to these collections, crafting luxurious pieces that celebrate individuality and timeless style.
